I grew up in Oklahoma, with a few years in southern Kansas, and have lived overseas in Egypt (1993-1997) and Indonesia (2002-2005). I presently reside in Katy, TX, which is on the west side of the Houston metropolitan area.
Tuxi is my nick on Internet Relay Chat (generally on #groklaw on irc.fdfnet.net). I originally used tux_indo as my nick because I was a Linux fan living in Indonesia. (Tux is the name of the Linux penguin.) When I moved to Houston, it didn’t seem that tux_indo was an appropriate nick so I shortened it to tuxi.
